Quiet spot, good location to reach Lucca and other destinations. Clean, and breakfast was nice with the cake made by Denise. All good.

“Excellent all around”

Jacobi and Denise were delightful hosts. They prepared a delicious breakfast early to fit our schedule and then Jacobi drove us to San Miniato so we could start walking on the Via Francigena. I would highly recommend their pace.

The bed was good and everything was very clean. We were lucky to have the apartment to ourselves and didn’t have to share it with anyone else. The sense of hospitality was disappointing. We couldn’t use the kitchen, one fridge was inaccessible, and the balcony door was locked. Breakfast was also let down; the photos promised a wide selection, asking whether you wanted sweet or savory. We, the two of us, chose one sweet and one savory. We then received: each of us three slices of toast from a jam pack, scrambled eggs for one person, a croissant for the other, a small bottle of fruit juice each, and a huge water jug. We could only order espresso; cappuccino wasn’t available. The owners were in a hurry and left during our breakfast, leaving one cup for each of us for a second coffee.

“Dommage que le petit déjeuner est été bâclé. Prix trop élevé pour juste la chambre.”

The spot is great, quiet, and the rooms are a decent size, but the breakfast was nothing like the photos showed – they served us industrial square bread instead. 🤨🙁
