“Lackluster, but Ok for the Night”

The location is good for accessing the Great Lakes and Gurnee. The “studio” had acceptable appliances and furniture, and they supplied plenty of towels, which I appreciated. However, the walls are paper‑thin and I could hear everything from the neighboring rooms—microwave, toilet flushing, TV, doors closing—making it a nightmare. The floor is a cheap, trailer‑park‑style material that transmits sound and feels flimsy. The AC blows directly next to the bed, so you either freeze or overheat all night. The shower head was covered in mineral deposits and needed to be cleaned with an anti‑mineral cleaner. For the rate I paid, I expected a more polished, modern place; the brand usually does better. The housekeeper arrived bright and early to shoo people out of their rooms and was extremely rude. I went out for coffee at 0800 and she was hanging in the hallway looking annoyed, making it a point to ask if I was returning to the room or checking out.

“I'd stay again”

Ian was great from check‑in to departure, the breakfast ladies were very helpful, and breakfast was excellent. I had an accessible room that was just right; I recently lost my hearing, so now I know I can also get a hearing‑accessible room. The pool was fun—thanks for the weekend. Absolutely nothing I missed; if it was there, I enjoyed it.

“The room was still very clean 10 mins from six flags”

The staff were definitely some of the best I’ve seen in a long time. I asked for the bedroom and sitting area to be separated; instead, there were four of them. The room was a little small, the pull‑out bed was in the same room, very close, and I couldn’t switch it because I booked through Booking.
