The owner was exceptionally warm and helpful with advice and recommendations, and the hotel was well located within Karakol. Our room was very spacious and we enjoyed the decor, communal areas, and wide variety of breakfast options. The bathroom was on the smaller side.

I stayed in a very quiet area, with no noise or disturbances in the evenings or at night, and a short walk takes you straight to livelier streets and neighborhoods. The staff were very friendly and gave plenty of useful tips and tricks for the area. Breakfast was nice and personal, with a sweet section and a more traditional menu, and a few items were swapped out daily for something new and fun. The rooms were warm and the air was still, but otherwise clean and fresh. The bathroom was great, something not found everywhere in the city or country. There were no problems leaving luggage while I was out hiking for a few days.

The hosts were fantastic, the breakfast was excellent, and the room was large and spacious. We were able to leave our luggage before heading out on a three‑day mountain trek. The hotel itself was very pretty.

The location is central with a nice square that’s convenient for bikes, cars, and motorcycles, and the breakfast is excellent. The building is less beautiful and clean than it appears in the photos.
