This isn’t my first visit to Aswan, but it’s my first stay on Aswan Island. Some places make you enjoy the destination more than just the stay, and Esmerada felt like that. Waking up on the island, having breakfast with the Nile in front of you, and then heading anywhere easily from there just lightened and calmed the whole trip. It’s also one of those rare places that truly justifies what you pay for – comfortable, well‑located, and with a view that adds so much to the experience. Being on the island adds even more: you can kayak, cruise the Nile, and visit a nearby museum, all within easy reach. Having someone like Hammo managing the place makes a real difference. He’s warm, helpful, and genuinely cares that guests are comfortable. My week‑long stay was amazing. If you want Aswan with a peaceful rhythm, this is a lovely option.

“Un séjour agréable et mémorable”

Enjoying a hearty breakfast on the terrace by the Nile while watching the fishing egrets and herons pass by will be a memorable highlight of our Egypt trip. Our host, Amon, listened to our needs for the stay’s organization. We especially appreciated the care taken in preparing our picnic when we left for Abu Simbel at 2 am. The fridge was regularly stocked with fresh fruit and water.

This new spot on the island offers one of the best views, with a fantastic sight of Kitchen Island’s botanical garden and the Nile. The owner is new to the sector but very helpful and strives to provide the best service to guests. A quiet dock for boats is right by the terrace, which is a real must if you’re traveling with luggage (just let the owner know and he’ll arrange it). The island has no paved roads, only sand paths. Because we were on the opposite side of the island from Aswan and over a botanical garden, it was very quiet for sleeping (I’m a difficult sleeper, but we slept blissfully). You don’t need a sunset fluka trip 300 m from your guesthouse; there are nice rocks where you can sit on the Nile with views of the small green islands. For the price and the top location, I think you can’t find a better option in Aswan. The only adjustment for us was the toilet‑shower combo, which is brand new. It has a drainage system that requires you to press down with your foot once to open it so the water can drain.

“Ein kleines Juwel direkt am Nil”

A beautiful, clean apartment right on the Nile. Very well equipped, everything you need is there. It’s very quiet and perfect for a relaxed holiday. Right in front of the house is a small boat dock where excursions can be organized very well. The traditional breakfast in the morning was excellent. Absolutely recommended!
