The staff were lovely, informative, friendly, clear, and quick; the castle room was also very large. The bed was comfortable and well-made, and free coffee was offered in the side kitchen. It felt like a more premium B&B. Check‑out was simple and fast.

Getting in was smooth after it was locked, and there was a key plus tag. If the breakfast had been a bit warmer, I would have given it an excellent rating, but I understand it’s hard to manage that on such a weekend.
I was pleased that the hotel was close to the places I wanted to visit in Kalmar, but the heat made it hard to sleep and there was a sewer smell in the bathroom.
