The location was fine. The place felt very anonymous; the breakfast room should be cleaned more often because the tables are used repeatedly.

We had high expectations because of the generally low ratings from other guests, but we couldn’t understand why the hotel receives such a low score. Many guests complained that no one was at check‑in, yet the self‑check‑in worked smoothly and it’s clear from the start that there’s no traditional reception. The room was spacious and beautiful, with parquet flooring, a view of the Walensee, a sofa set, and new windows that kept street noise away (and it’s already quiet at night). The bathroom was small but clean and functional. Breakfast had everything needed, including cheese and cold cuts. It can get a bit chaotic when many people arrive at once, as everyone tries to find their place and some people take items from one cupboard and put them in another. Dinner was served in the restaurant and had no complaints. The only issue was that the coffee machine’s tray with cups should be labeled for cappuccino, as the screen images don’t match what’s actually needed.
Everything was straightforward, but the motorcycle parking situation was inconvenient.
