The location is great. The reality fell a bit short of the pictures – the Wi‑Fi was insufficient. In the bathroom there was no storage for toiletries, no toilet brush, and the shower cabin was flimsy. The whole room felt stuffy. Morning service was inadequate: coffee was served in a plastic cup, pastries were handed in a napkin.

The owner was outstanding, the area of the old town where the building was found was lovely, the room was neat and clean.

The spot was fantastic – right in the heart of the old town, and the bed and pillows were comfortable. Finding it was a struggle; a note saying “head to the San Nicola Basilica” would have helped. Breakfast was included but only coffee; we had to pay for pastries from a very grumpy woman at the café. The fitted sheet was too small to stay tucked in, and the fridge had been defrosted but not wiped out – shelves were flooded with water. With a few small tweaks, this place could be superb.

The building is multi‑level and cramped, so finding a spot that gives easy access to the apartment is tough unless you’re pregnant or have mobility issues. There was no internet.

The place is well‑located and spacious. It had mold, dirty furnishings, and the cabinet had holes that didn’t allow ventilation.
