The staff were very friendly and attentive, the breakfast was plentiful, and we received good sightseeing tips. Everything was perfect 😀

I liked that the hotel is in a fairly central spot in Hamburg and especially close to the University of Hamburg, which was the main reason for my trip. I didn’t have to wake up early because I could walk there in 10 minutes. I think the hotel could consider putting small fridges in each room so guests can bring and store food they bring from outside, since the stay only includes breakfast. There is a central fridge in a shared area, but it’s quite small and can’t meet the needs of all guests who might want to bring food for lunch or dinner.

The location was very good, very close to Dammtor BH. If you’re sensitive to noise, the rooms that are loud‑through‑walls could become a problem.

“Great place”

The place is in a great spot and the staff are very friendly, the rooms are clean and have all the basics. My room was on the first floor, so I had to go up to the second floor and then wander around the corridor and the stairs to reach it, which was a bit inconvenient if you’re lugging a suitcase. It worked for me, but someone with mobility issues might find it tough.

Hotel Wagner is very well located, just a few minutes on foot from Dammtor station. Despite its central location, it’s quiet. The staff are exceptionally friendly and our room was tastefully and well furnished. A particularly nice touch was a bowl of strawberries we found upon arrival. We would book the hotel again immediately. There’s nothing to complain about.
