“Gute Unterkunft, derzeit mit Einschränkungen”

The staff were very friendly, responded quickly, the bed was comfortable and the people in Cuispes were pleasant; the newly built 2024 trail to the base of the third tier of Yumbilla waterfall starts right in the village and is stunning—a real highlight, and I hope the road gets finished soon so more travelers can find Cuispes. Unfortunately you have to pay cash, the shower needs descaling, the wardrobe is just a single rod with hangers and lacks a shelf, the water is cloudy, and as of 2026 the village is extremely hard to reach—the road is under construction and the path is only open before 7 am, between 12‑1 pm and after 6 pm, making the motorbike ride very adventurous.

The hosts were incredibly friendly, welcoming us warmly and making us feel at home right away. The rooms were comfortable, the house was beautifully designed, and the showers were pleasantly hot. Breakfast was generous and tasty, and on request we also received delicious freshly cooked meals at lunch and dinner—special requests like vegan options were met. The hotel sits right on the main square of the small town, making it a perfect starting point for tours around the stunning surroundings.

“Hospedaje increíble!”

The hospitality and care from the hosts are unmatched! They form an exceptional family that looks after every guest. They were attentive with breakfasts, lunches, and dinners, and after we returned from the Yumbilla waterfall tour they even provided a space to change and shower. This place truly deserves high praise for its excellent and noble people.
