The spot is decent since it’s near the high street, but the name misleads you into thinking you can see the cathedral, which you can’t. I booked a twin room; the bathroom was fine, yet the shower was tucked into the bath and the grab rails sit behind a glass screen at the back, making it hard and a bit scary to get in and out of the bath for a shower.

The location is decent, but the curtains were hanging off the window, the breakfast was absolutely terrible or cold, and the banisters on each floor were sticky and disgusting; I would never stay here again.

The place is very central, but I had to pay extra for an air‑conditioned room.

The staff and location were good, but the corridor door squeaked and slammed every time it opened or closed, so we had to wedge it open at night to sleep. We also didn’t know about the £15.00 parking charge on top of the hotel cost. The room felt worn and old; the shower curtain should be replaced with a screen. Whenever a neighbour turned on the bathroom taps, we could hear it, and the shower pressure was very low.
