For a motel on the side of the highway in a small town, I was pleasantly surprised. The room looks to have been recently remodeled, everything was clean and in order, it’s close to Starbucks and good restaurants, and the price is super great.

The front desk staff were fantastic, but the sofa in the lounge was dirty beneath the cushions and had an odd chunk of something on it that needed cleaning.

Getting in and out of the hotel was straightforward and the price was reasonable, yet the pillows were terrible—only two and basically just the covers—and when the housekeeping team cleaned the room on our second day they turned off the air conditioner, so on the 4th of July in Texas we ended up in a hot room.
