“Very comfortable and pleasant”
The place was very nice and comfortable, and I had a good night. The breakfast cost £15 and seemed quite sparse; it took 15 minutes to get an invoice and check out, which made me late for work.

Everything was fine.

The food was good. The room was a small attic space in the eaves.

Everything was fine. The only downside was that the breakfast selection was continental.

We were heading to a lunch‑time party about a mile away and only checked in late afternoon, staying just one night before leaving the next morning. Breakfast was good, and that evening I grabbed a drink in the bar, chatting with a couple of other guests who were also staying at the hotel and we all had a pleasant night. The hotel has its own dedicated car park, which we used without any issues. The building is historic, so you shouldn’t expect a lift or super‑wide staircases to reach the bedrooms upstairs. There’s no air conditioning, but the room temperature was comfortable, especially since we weren’t in the middle of one of Britain’s recent heat waves.
