The dog run was great, but the screen in the bathroom was torn and the auto‑lock front door was hard to open.

Even though it was a traditional farmhouse, everything was spotless and well‑stocked, which was a huge help; there were pet supplies and cleaning tools too, so we felt comfortable staying. The owner’s pre‑arrival emails pointed us to the island’s supermarket, restaurants and a beach spot, letting us plan everything smoothly. Our kids got to enjoy a BBQ, a pizza oven and a Goemon‑style bath – experiences they don’t normally have, turning the summer holiday into a memorable one.

The fridge was huge and the pizza oven let us bake tasty pizza and bread for the first time, and the pet‑cleaning gear was a nice touch. Unfortunately, the sheets and cover on the slide‑out bed had what looked like blood stains, and because my little puppy couldn’t climb onto the bed I avoided it altogether, sleeping on the lower bunk instead, probably because the previous guests left it that way. Also, the drying rack in the kitchen was so big it left almost no space for a cutting board, making food prep a bit of a hassle.

The dog run was spacious, and we loved having access to the Goemon‑style bath and pizza oven; having an outdoor fridge was a huge plus and the dogs slept peacefully. I didn’t notice any drawbacks.
