Hotel Italia was just the right place for our short visit to Ravenna. The property is less than a 10‑minute walk from the train station and 15 minutes from the city centre. We chose the hotel for its location and the transfer option to the cruise port. The staff were very welcoming and helpful, and the breakfast, while not extensive, was tasty and gave us a good start to our day. We liked everything.

The breakfast in a family‑style setting was good, the staff were pleasant, and they offered a taxi to the harbour before our cruise. The location is convenient with walking distance to the station and city sights. The hotel needs a refurbishment of its furniture and other items.

The location is convenient, within walking distance of the train station and close to Byzantine sights. The free shuttle to the cruise port was prompt and easy. The staff were great; the night clerk gave us excellent advice on a local Italian family restaurant, and the day clerk was very helpful with our luggage tags. I would have liked a more conveniently located electric outlet and should have been aware of the elevator capacity limit, which caused a minor panic when we got stuck and had to wait for staff to manually lower the elevator and open the doors. There was also confusion about the free café in the morning, as the restaurant wanted us to pay for it.

The hotel is near the railway station, the staff are friendly and helpful, and transport to the cruise terminal is provided. Ravenna itself is a beautiful town with fantastic churches to visit. The breakfast was average.
