Modern rooms include cable TV. The 24-hour ocean-view gym has mounted TVs, and the outdoor pool boasts a swim-up bar and tropical landscaping, near colonial-era Old San Juan and the Puerto Rico Museum of Art.

The hotel looked lovely and was very clean, though I wished for a bit more customer service. The reception never opened the door for me, and the breakfast was a mess—trying to decide what to eat at a buffet that was constantly being questioned.

Everything was spotless, the staff were friendly, and the pool area was the best part of the rooms.

We loved this place; it’s a little pricey but definitely worth the money for the great rooms and location. I wish the parking were better—there’s only one lot across the busy street, so I used valet, which was convenient but very expensive.
