The renovated old townhouse let me soak up the historic vibe while enjoying modern comforts, but the second‑floor bedroom lacked a TV, and it would have been nicer to have a sofa in front of the first‑floor TV.

The meals lived up to expectations, with dishes that highlighted Fukui ingredients; even though I can’t drink alcohol, I still had a great time.
