The room was comfortable, but it had no mini‑fridge or air‑conditioning. It was very hot, so I had to keep the window open all the time, even at night. The location is good, close to the train station, which makes it easy to travel at any time. The staff are friendly and attentive; the hair dryer was broken, and as soon as I told them they gave me another one to use. They left a welcome chocolate on the day I arrived. The room had no mini‑fridge or air‑conditioning, and the internet was very weak, fluctuating most of the time and sometimes not working at all.

“The location was perfect for stadium event and we would highly recommend this place, close to airpor”

The location was excellent, just a short walk from both the airport and the football stadium, and about a 30‑minute relaxing stroll to the city centre, or a quick 3‑minute walk to the metro. The room matched the description perfectly – quiet, peaceful, with a private shower and toilet, a kettle for tea and coffee, and a mini‑fridge. The welcome was lovely; the young lady was very kind, friendly, and showed us everything we needed. There are several cafés and a bakery nearby, plus an ice‑cream shop right in the building. Overall, a very comfortable and convenient stay! The only thing that could have been smoother was the pre‑arrival WhatsApp communication, but otherwise everything went well and we received all the information we needed.

“I recommend this place for anyone who wants to be close to the MERKUR SPIEL and have a good connection with the airport”

The place is fantastic – super close to the U-Bahn station and even nearer to the MERKUR SPIEL arena, with cafés, restaurants and a shop nearby. The neighbourhood is very quiet and safe. The owners were extremely friendly, ensuring we had everything we needed and were very helpful and kind. We were able to leave our luggage on the last day and pick it up just before heading to the airport. We enjoyed our stay and have no negative feedback.

A small guesthouse run by a mother and daughter left a great impression on us. From the start the communication was wonderfully courteous; they asked about our arrival time and, when we asked if they could lend us an iPhone charger because we were on a train and noticed we didn’t have one, they answered quickly and told us not to worry. Since we were attending a concert at the Merkur-Spielarena, the location was perfect – we could walk both ways. The transport connections made the arrival and departure very convenient. We were given a very nice, spacious, and bright room on the second floor, fully equipped with everything we needed. The comfortable beds and the morning coffee were especially pleasant. We are very grateful to the hosts for a wonderful stay in Düsseldorf and will book again at the Pagalis guesthouse for the next arena concert. The only downside was that the building is noticeably older and only has a narrow wooden staircase, which isn’t a problem for us but might be difficult for older guests to reach their rooms. RC

“Очень грязно и воняет.”

The location is close to public transport and near the arena where concerts are held. The place was extremely dirty – it felt like the room had been smoked before, with dirty painted walls in the toilet, cobwebs and dust everywhere. It was disrespectful to the guests. The tourist tax could only be paid in cash, and it would have been convenient to collect it at the time of booking. The room and toilet had a strong odor, and the shower temperature fluctuated from warm to boiling, so at one point hot water poured over me.
