An oasis of calm in this distinctive village, perfect if you’re having a wedding at Castle Amerongen like we did. The room was beautifully atmospheric under the rafters, and the breakfast buffet was excellent. On the ground floor, there’s a charming village café with a gravel terrace, as if time had stood still.

A nice hotel with a restaurant in a lovely spot in the picturesque Amerongen, relaxed vibe, feels like home quickly, staff are friendly, the room is nicely decorated with a spacious bathroom, good beds and pillows, tea and coffee are available, the terrace and restaurant are atmospheric, food is fine, great base for walking or cycling.
