The staff were extremely friendly and helpful. When booking, the photos showed a balcony or beach view, but my room had no balcony; it only offered a view of someone’s roof shingles and a tiny glimpse of the beach from a corner of the window. I should have asked which room I’d get before booking, as the website was a bit misleading. Otherwise, everything was fine.

The location is excellent, right on the beach, and the hotel has a classic old‑style Atlantic beachfront feel. The rate was good, and the staff were great – they handled a lost key very well. The only downside was the warmer weather.

We were on the beach, but the room was advertised as a water view and we thought it had a balcony, which it didn’t, so we paid a lot for a misrepresented room. We all checked in and received room service, but our beds weren’t made. The bathroom wasn’t clean, and the sheets were left from the previous guests; when we first went to bed there was a pile of sheets at the foot of the bed where the sheets should have gone, so we wouldn’t use that spot again. Also, packing was a nightmare.

The close proximity to the ocean let me watch the waves and sunrises from my balcony. I could hear people above me, who sounded like they were moving furniture around. The hotel was pricey.
