The room was very spacious, the receptionist was friendly, and there was an underground garage, but the bathroom had a terrible smell.
There was no water one day during my stay.
The breakfast was decent, but the double room was so small I could barely open my suitcase.
Only the room and common areas were clean when we arrived. The hotel’s name is PEAKY, which makes it hard to locate via the booking system, and it’s not right in front of the beach. Our room faced a back storage area, had no parking, and the hotel only offered a discounted parking spot nearby. You have to check in first to get that discount, but there’s no place to stop and unload luggage. The entrance has narrow stairs, making it tough to bring bags in, and no staff were available to help. Our room was on the first floor with no lift on that side, so we had to carry everything ourselves. In the morning the bathroom had no water; the tap would start and then stop again, leaving a mess. We asked reception to fix it, but they didn’t. We requested towels, but they were reluctant and we had to buy shampoo elsewhere. At check‑in they only had bath towels; we had to ask for face towels. The room lacked a dustbin, a chair, and space for a suitcase. Sorry, but this isn’t a 4‑star hotel—it feels more like a 1‑star.
The room was simple, with just the essentials to feel comfortable. The towels were old and ragged at the edges, the toilet cover was missing—probably broken—and the shower glass was hard to close. The mini‑fridge in the room wasn’t cold and its light stayed on all night, letting light spill into the room. There were no hangers—just shelves and a few hooks—so after the shower I didn’t know where to hang my towels.
