The location was awesome, right in the center and close to the airport. The double beds were actually two separate beds that weren’t well connected, so we fell apart in the middle of the night.

The vibe was just right.

The price was good, but the kitchen smell lingered in the room.

Pro: The personnel is sincerely friendly. Pro: The personnel is sincerely friendly. Contra: It is not really a hotel. 1. The room has two beds with barely a foot between them. The remaining space is about 6 × 6 feet, with no room for a suitcase. 2. There is no phone and no way to contact staff unless you have a local (German) phone. 3. Reception is not manned 24/7, nor even from 8:00 to 17:00. I arrived at 15:00 and found it empty. It took me 30 minutes to find a way to call a local number. No warning was given. 4. They provide two "towels." One is smaller than a typical handkerchief; the "large" one is about 1 × 2.5 feet, smaller than many hotel hand towels. Inadequate after a shower. 5. The shower cabin is about 2.5 × 2 feet inside, making it nearly impossible to wash yourself. 6. The showerhead did not work. The nozzles sprayed a fine mist, and about 1/3 of the water leaked from the connection to the hose. I reported it after the first night, but no action was taken. 7. The sink is so small that opening the faucet splashes water onto the floor. 8. There is no air conditioning. At ~90°F (32°C) outside, the room was a torture chamber. With all windows on one side, there was no airflow. The floor fan produced more noise than cooling. 9. There was a thick layer of dust under both beds, together with debris and a lighter left by a previous occupant. 10. The curtains do not close properly. The shower cabin is visible from the street. Overall conclusion: These appear to be meeting rooms adjacent to a restaurant, disguised as a hotel. I have not written a hotel review in 15 years, but this place genuinely unsettled me
