The Riad’s owner is very helpful and welcomes all your requests; upon arrival she showed us the main sights in the old Medina, where we were also staying. The rooms are very small, so there’s little room to store luggage; we only had backpacks, so it was manageable, but with large suitcases it would have been very difficult.

We enjoyed the friendly atmosphere and Wafa’s help with tips for visiting Fès and the surroundings; she took care of us and even prepared a takeaway lunch for our early departure. Omar also escorted us to the taxi that morning. We didn’t realize that the shower was in the same room as the toilet, which was an odd experience. For late‑night stays, the rooms are next to a school.

The reception staff, especially Wafa, were great. The room was too small and basic.
