The cleaning crew and hostel staff were very friendly, everything stayed spotless and I felt safe. The Wi‑Fi never worked properly during my whole stay, and I reported it without any improvement; also, having only one common room felt a bit awkward.

The hostel runs itself, so there’s no front desk—check‑in is self‑service via emailed instructions, but the manager is quick to help if you ping him. A lovely lady cleans daily, and while some residents live long‑term it didn’t bother me; the guys are laid‑back, mostly keep to themselves, yet a few are very friendly. The location is a bit inconvenient; there aren’t many good restaurants nearby, so you’ll need a 10–15 minute bus ride to find more options. A 7‑Eleven is about a 10‑minute walk away, plus a few coffee shops. Women might want to avoid the male dorm because it’s where many long‑term male guests stay, which felt overwhelming. Internet is another issue: most eSIMs get no signal inside, Wi‑Fi is slow and keeps dropping, which is frustrating. Lockers are small and won’t fit a standard backpack; I had to pull my laptop out and rearrange everything to fit. This place feels more like a place to sleep and move on than a spot to meet other travelers or socialize.

It’s cheap and clean, with a nice kitchen and garden. That’s about it.

The mattresses are good, but there are no bathrooms. Residents don’t respect the quiet hours, act like they’re in charge, and leave alarm clocks ringing for 20 minutes, especially the African American guests.
