The hotel is close to the sanctuary, the food is good, and you can add extra meals beyond the basic option at a very good price; the wine is excellent, the baguettes and rolls are tasty, and the staff are friendly and helpful. The bedding was rough, the heating stopped working on the last night, there was no heating in the bathroom (the outside was damp and cold, which made it hard to stay warm), the shower lacked a basin, the shower curtain was too short so water splashed out, the corridors weren’t cleaned daily, the coffee machine used tap water and powdered milk which hurt the coffee’s taste, and when the powdered milk ran out the staff didn’t notice and the latte was made with just water.
