St Georges Guest House

Beds were comfy and breakfast arrived early which was great. Breakfast bar was lovely. Rooms were in a great location - the towns walkable and bus services pass by. Good to have patio space outside. There was a fan in the room which made all the difference as it was hot up on the top floor. Pub next door was great - very friendly people and relaxed atmosphere. Shout out to the landlady :). Difficult to avoid water running out under bathroom door and a keypad entry to control access from the street would be good

The place was quiet and the location was great, with two restaurants right next door. The breakfast arrived in the room, but there was no staff around.

The hotel was comfortable, welcoming, and within walking distance of the city centre. The staff were very helpful and courteous, and the “breakfast in a basket” left outside the room was a clever idea! It was a bit unsettling to discover that there were no staff on site after 12 pm, but the contact instructions were clear if needed.

“No tv or working shower clouded view of a nice stay.”

Breakfast was fine, the room was fine, and the location was fine. The TV kept saying “No signal” most of the time, and the shower was either scaldingly hot or icy cold—no middle ground.
