The location was great, the room was lovely, and the bathroom was clean; there was nothing to complain about.

The landlord was friendly and the location was central, but the room faced a busy road.

We liked the renovated room, but otherwise nothing remotely positive about this place. On arrival we saw the pub in a poor state, which is not an “hotel.” Back to our room around 10.15pm we thought it was closed, but it was open on the side street with many people and loud music. We got to bed by 11pm, but the music got louder until just before midnight. I called the hotel number and spoke to a girl who said the music would stop around 1–1.30pm. I asked for the manager, who explained they had a license until 1am with an extra 20 minutes of drinking time. I said we wouldn’t tolerate the loud music until then, and he said they would turn it off at 12pm. They did, but they don’t serve breakfast even though they advertise it at £8.50 per person, and they claim free Wi‑Fi but give no details or password in the room. In short, this should not be listed as an hotel; it’s a scruffy pub with bedrooms that doesn’t serve breakfast.

The hotel sits in a central spot, but the bed feels worn out and the biscuits were outdated.

The room was spacious and the location was convenient, plus the staff were friendly. Unfortunately, there was no Wi‑Fi available.
