“No creo que repita”
What we liked most was the location, just 5 minutes from Teatro Massimo and the main shopping area, making it very convenient to walk around the city. Overall, the value for money seemed average-good. The service could improve in several ways. On the first day, during breakfast, we were the only table offered only sweet items while other tables had savory options. Then, about a minute before breakfast ended, an employee approached us and showed us a screen on her phone to tell us it was time to leave, which felt inappropriate. Later, we had two pizza boxes saved for dinner on the last day; because they didn’t fit in the fridge, we left them on top of it. To our surprise, when we returned to the room, the pizzas had been thrown away without consulting us. With nothing left to eat, we had to order an Uber to get food, even though we had saved those pizzas for that day. The next day, we had planned to check in at 10:00 h, but at 8:19 a.m. someone knocked on our door to remind us that check‑in was at 10:00 h. We didn’t understand why they did this, since we knew the time from day one, and we felt it was unnecessary to wake us up so early. Regarding the bathroom, we knew it was outside the room, but not that it was so narrow. Using the toilet barely left space and the knees touched the wall. It required a lot of agility, and the space was so limited that only one person could fit at a time. Finally, we didn’t understand the €16 tourist tax and the additional €24 “fees.” We had already paid the tourist tax, so we asked why we were being charged another €24. They said it was for other fees, but didn’t explain clearly what they were for. Moreover, the charge was made directly at our room door with a card reader.
