“Ich würde sofort wieder buchen.”

The location is wonderful, the Malibu Pier is easily reachable on foot, and the surroundings of the hotel with palm trees and banana plants feel like a tropical dream; I even spotted a hummingbird from my balcony. The pool could have been cleaned of some old flowers and leaves, but it will probably look the same again very quickly—it's nature. A local contact would be nice, but that’s just the signs of time. I do want to highlight the very friendly cleaning lady who helped me with the Wi‑Fi password.

“average”

The place is close to the beach, great for sunbathing and walking, but you need a car to reach other restaurants and food spots. The pool is good, the shower is fine, and there’s a pizza joint just a 3‑minute walk away. The TV was a bit hard to use, though it had good channels; I watched Netflix on my computer instead. The bed was decent but a little hot, so I had to use the AC and fans.

The place looks so charming after its recent renovation, and it’s right next to the pier, Nobu, and other eateries, so we walked everywhere.

“Bad experience”

The constant noise was unbearable; even though the hotel sits beside the road, I could hear people laughing and talking loudly until 2 am. No one was at the reception, the room was filthy with a strange odor, and nobody offered to help me carry two huge suitcases and two large bags. The price of this motel (not a hotel) is hard to justify, and there’s no food service or even a distributor.
