“One word OUTSTANDING on all levels”
Everything was perfect, and there was nothing to complain about.
“Geweldig!”
The staff were incredibly helpful and the beachside location was almost perfect. My first room had some electrical issues, so they moved me to a suite at no extra cost, which was fantastic service. The only downside was the setting: the area is mainly a residential neighborhood with no nearby facilities, meaning you either take a taxi everywhere or dine at the restaurant every night (which I did and it wasn’t a bad choice). Walking around was unpleasant because of the many stray dogs on the street.
I like small personal boutique hotels and this was my third stay; the vibe and tasteful individual décor still appeal to me. The ad photo for the booked suite was misleading—only one suite has the private pool on the terrace, instead there was just a small whirlpool. The complaint about that was not taken seriously. The food is good but there is barely any vegetables or salads. The normally cozy bar stops serving after 23:00. The sauna and the historic ship are not operating. In the Mauritanian winter it’s usually quite windy (the hotel can’t control that), and the beach is rarely sunny.
“Établissement digne de faire partie des relais châteaux”
A small haven of peace, excellent cuisine, and a beautiful wine cellar.
“Tout c est très bien passé, le restaurant est délicieux, tout le monde est adorable, le petit déjeuner très varié avec d”
The place feels cozy, though it isn’t a large resort. The only drawback is its exposure to wind.
