1. Both the first and second floors have bathrooms, which is convenient for a large family; the first floor is a Western‑style room suitable for seniors, while the second floor’s four‑person room is spacious and great for kids. 2. All equipment is new and clean, the shower head is strong, hot water is steady, and bathing is very comfortable; any issues were resolved on the same day after contacting customer service. 3. Nearby is a 7‑11, so you can still go out at midnight. 4. It’s a 10‑minute drive to Aeon Mall. 5. It’s suitable for self‑driving travelers, with a parking lot next to the guesthouse, so every time I return there’s a spot and I can head straight back to my room, which is really convenient. 1. There is a lot of motorcycle noise at night and early morning (maybe a biker gang?). 2. The second‑floor double room is a bit small, but there’s enough outside space to store a suitcase. 3. The washing machine is outside the first‑floor room, so you have to cross the room to wash clothes.

I stayed in a place that had two bathrooms, which was a big plus for me.

The spot is in a great area, just a short walk to the train station, markets and convenience stores. The beds were comfy, and the host was quick to fix any issues, all at a good price. The only downside was that at midnight there was a lot of loud traffic—probably motorcycles speeding or doing tricks—right outside the house.

This was a roomy two‑storey house close to 7/11, Lawson, and various restaurants. Walking to local stations or bus stops was easy, and getting around Kyoto was convenient. We were close enough to Kyoto Station, shopping, and TeamLabs that we could walk there even with our three kids under ten. The place was a bit noisy because it’s right on a fairly main road, but we were already tired from all the exploring and walking.
