“Wonderful stay”
The place offered plenty of space that made me feel at home, but the tub was so tall that stepping out of it was a bit awkward.

The house was clean, beautiful, and comfortable, with a large space and spotless bedding; the scenery was stunning, and I even caught a breathtaking aurora at night—definitely worth recommending.

The view was gorgeous, and it was a shame to miss the chance to visit the mountain in front of the cabin because of time; on the day I stayed, the aurora burst but the sky was too clouded, yet I still saw a lovely sunset that I loved.

I’ve visited Iceland four times since 2018, and this place tops them all. It offers every Icelandic delight we could wish for—horses, sheep, a lake, sunsets, mountain views, and a sense of isolation—yet it’s only a 10‑minute drive to Stykkisholmur. The highlight is a private church the same family has owned since 1818; the host even cleaned it on Sunday morning so we could worship there privately. Behind the property is a small hill we climbed for an amazing horizon view. The host, her kids, and the dog Molly were all wonderful extras. We loved it and will definitely return. Thanks for the warm hospitality. Absolutely nothing else to complain about!

The place was exceptionally clean, comfortable, and stocked with everything from cookware to food—rice, sauces, and seasonings. The only downside was that we were given only one bath towel per person; a washroom towel per person would have been better.
