The rural farm stay had a hostel vibe and a well‑equipped shared kitchen, set in a lovely spot with sheep and horses wandering around. I’d rate it 8.0/10; it was a bit ramshackle but that added to its charm.

The property was very nice and quaint out in the country, and we could see the Northern Lights away from the city. Askar, the dog, greeted us excitedly, and it was great to visit the horses before we left, so I give it a perfect 10.0/10.

I stayed at a very remote spot, perfect for spotting the northern lights. The staff welcomed us warmly and showed us around. The glass sunroom was great for breakfast and meals with a view. The horses are sweet, and the rooms are big and warm. We couldn’t ride because of rain, and the place won’t let people over 95 kg or 210 lbs on the smaller horses. The location is over 30 minutes down a gravel road, so if you lack a sturdy car or dislike dirt roads, avoid it. The road has potholes and is hard to navigate when wet. Shared rooms lack lockers or curtains; if you have valuables, leave them in your car.
