Location. Location. Location!! The only downside was the limited food options.

I stayed in a suite that was quiet and very tidy. The complimentary sparkling wine and macarons were nice, the room was spacious, there were two washbasins, and the view was good. Even without meals, the nearby breakfast options were fine. It would have been even better if there had been a pool, and if the museum had more convenient transport options.

The place was quiet and scenic, but I was very upset because the transfer boat left us. Our flight was delayed. I phoned and asked to wait a few minutes. We ran, but still missed it. Reception told us to wait two hours for the next transfer. We took public transport with heavy suitcases, more than 1 km over cobbles. Hotel staff didn’t offer to fetch us with a trolley from public transport, didn’t apologise, and said they couldn’t make other passengers wait whose flights were on time. Bad start.
