The check‑in desk had a wet‑dog smell, and room #2 shared a wall with an office, so privacy was limited; there was no AC or heat, and during a rainy, cool weekend the room unexpectedly heated up, likely from shower steam. I didn’t open the window toward the driveway, which is a 30‑ft long row of cars. The toilet smelled like someone left human waste, though it might have been a sewer issue that carried into the room. I managed one night but would never stay again. The price was affordable compared to others, it was close to Cape Kiwanda, and I received two free drinks and a snack bag at check‑in.

A cute little goodie bag greeted us at the start, the staff were lovely, the room was spacious and well‑equipped, and the location was great. Unfortunately, the sofa bed had a pronounced dip in the middle, making it hard to sleep on.

We were upgraded to an apartment that included a small kitchen and a washing machine and dryer, which was very welcome. Everything else was satisfactory.

The room’s design was great, and it had everything we needed; it was quiet and the car was parked right in front of the door, making it easy to bring our luggage. Nothing else to add.
