“A Hospitality Professional’s Disappointing Experience”

The breakfast staff kept yelling at us while I tried to pick a clean spoon, but the breakfast itself was okay. Our check‑in was a huge disappointment, especially since I was traveling with a sleeping baby in my arms. The staff asked to see the card I used to book, and I explained it was a virtual card for security, so the number wouldn’t match my physical card. I showed my physical card and clarified the situation, yet he kept questioning me instead of resolving it quickly. During that needless delay, my child woke up and screamed because she was scared and upset. The staff didn’t recognize the urgency and kept questioning me. After check‑in, the service didn’t improve. We weren’t given a map or clear directions to our room; we were simply told to walk there, only to find our room in a completely different building far away, which was very inconvenient while carrying a baby and luggage. It was even more frustrating because the hotel seemed almost empty—fewer than a handful of cars in the parking area—so occupancy looked low. I would have expected the staff to at least check if a room in a closer building was available, especially after seeing we were traveling with a baby, but no alternative or upgrade was offered. It felt like there was no effort to make our stay easier or more comfortable. The room itself was also disappointing; it didn’t have the comfortable sofa advertised, so it didn’t match our expectations from the listing. “Clean tidy room, comfortable”

Nice, clean, large rooms and easy parking right at the door. Great places to eat nearby, like Harolds Bars a few minutes’ walk away. Breakfast was okay, though a bit basic. The outdoor area was a bit tired, especially the decorative pools and the crazy golf zone.
