The room is basic but spacious by London standards and has good beds. Breakfast and dinner (included!) are fine quality. Nice vibe. Beautiful garden. The pillow was a bit low and hard for our taste, but that’s personal.

Two families with two little girls found this place a perfect fit; it isn’t a luxury hotel or gourmet restaurant, but if you’re after a youthful English‑style vibe with students from around the world, warm hospitality, beautiful common areas, a game room with ping‑pong, soccer and billiards, and a lounge that offers nightly events—like an English Shrek screening with free drinks and popcorn one night, or a mash‑mellow evening around a fire in the gorgeous garden—then you’re in the right spot. The neighborhood is stylish. The only downside was that dinner had to be finished by 19.30; we arrived at 19.15, only to find the desserts and other dishes sold out. The menu was limited and the rooms were tiny and in need of renovation.

I didn’t realize at booking that this was a student dorm, but when I checked in I saw only young students coming in and out, so that’s what it is. The price includes breakfast and dinner, yet I didn’t feel the value was low; instead the overall space felt very comfortable and cozy, with a large back garden, a social lounge, a reading room, a laundry room, and a piano room. The room’s equipment was well maintained and tidy. The entrance security is tech‑savvy: you must swipe a card to pass a single‑person gate and then another main gate. The reception staff are young, polite, and courteous, making me want to stay again.

Die Lage ist hervorragend, mittendrin aber doch sehr ruhig. Das Frühstück und Abendessen ist prima und abwechslungsreich. Das Personal sehr freundlich und hilfsbereit. Leider hatten wir ein Zimmer im Souterrain.etwas dunkel, keine schöne Aussicht in den tollen Garten und auf dem Flur hat es etwas "gemüffelt".leichtes Keller-Feeling. Die Rohre scheinen auch etwas verkalkt zu sein: Sowohl beim Duschen als auch bei der Toilettenspülung hat es recht laut gepfiffen. Ist alles etwas in die Jahre gekommen, angesichts der Lage und des Preises jedoch völlig in Ordnung. Man ist ja eh den ganzen Tag unterwegs
