Bluewater Harbour Motel, Bowen, is a waterfront retreat 500 metres from the marina and Front Beach. The motel features air-conditioned rooms, an outdoor pool, and secure boat parking. Rooms have flat-screen TVs, ceiling fans, and private bathrooms. Apartments with kitchens and living areas are available. Barbecue facilities and covered car parking are provided, with Bowen Golf Course and The Big Mango nearby.

The after‑hour check‑in was easy. Nothing – everything was great.

The location was good. The manager’s attitude was bad. The motel’s claim that it has a 24‑hour front desk is a lie. I arrived at 1:33 pm and found the reception closed. Only after calling the number on the door did someone come, which I appreciated. But a message from the manager afterward annoyed me, saying that I should appreciate the staff breaking lunch to attend the office because I arrived earlier than I told them (2 pm) and that I should be mindful of her decision to help solve the problem caused by my earlier arrival. Where is the promised “24‑hour front desk” the motel advertised?

The spot was spot‑on, parking was ample for a big car, Simon and the crew were super friendly, and the pool area was just perfect. Nothing else to add.
