“Barely ok!! Wouldn’t go back.”
The pub was a highlight, but the room only had one small window that opened in August, no AC, the bathroom window wouldn’t open, the bathroom light switch was broken, and the mattresses looked ancient.

The bedding was lovely and the staff and food were excellent, but the bathroom in room 6 had dirt around the pedestal, a stained sink plug hole, dust on the inside rim of the bathroom door, and the floor edges needed cleaning, which was disappointing that it hadn’t been checked more thoroughly.

The location was good and the restaurant staff were friendly, but I couldn’t sleep because the bathroom radiator was scorching hot, even with the door closed, and the staff member I alerted said nothing could be done, didn’t even visit the room to see the problem, it was the worst night of my life, and there was no compensation the next day when I mentioned it, so I will never return.

The reception and breakfast staff were welcoming and pleasant; the room was small but had everything needed, breakfast was good, though it was a little warm overnight, which is hardly surprising during a heat wave.

Lovely building. Perfect location for what we needed. Needed more Staff in the bar/restaurant area. The 2 girls serving were run ragged when we arrived. The room we slept in was lovely but like walking into a sauna. Even after leaving the door wide open when we had a drink in the garden! The small fan provided made no difference at all. The Green exit light, although I understand as necessary, was so bright in that little room it was like we hadn’t turned the lights off
