The price was reasonable, but the building was noisy, the rooms are close together so you can hear everything, and the old building creaks.

“Location perfect, very peaceful”

The location was perfect and the view from the room was beautiful, which is why I came; the room was cramped but the bed was comfortable, the fireplace was nice and we could see the slough up close, and getting in and out was easy, but I expected breakfast to be available and the lack of on‑site service made it feel like a hostel or squatting; the level of service was too lacking.

The location and historic building were great, but the breakfast area lacked coffee cups.

“Magical!”

We liked the location. It was right near the Monterey Hydrobike location. The room was unique. The view from the Sail Away room was magnificent. Our most favorite part! So smart to have huge windows to capture the full effect. Wonderful! The room had everything we needed. Would have been nice to have fridge and microwave in the room. But all of that and more was located in the dining area in the main house. The snacks in the dining area were nice. The outside deck to watch the sunset was wonderful. Very quiet place. Only saw people when we were leaving in the morning. A wonderful place!. Having digital check in only was a bit weird to us but worked out. Would be good to have a fan in the room. Room gets warm. Also would be good to be able to shower. The shower nozzle in the tub was not a good thing for us. Would have been a nice thing to have fresh fruit available in the dining area

“We stayed in the Captain’s Quarters of this historic building, very comfortable with a nautical theme.”

The property was delightful and perfectly located.
