The park was right in front of the hotel, which was helpful because there were small children. However, the noise from other guests and conversations could be heard.

The room was spacious. It was scary when nobody was around.

The place was spotless and well maintained, and its off‑the‑beaten‑path spot was great. The facilities were solid and you could get more if you asked. Even after an earthquake, I felt safe on the second floor. The staff handled towel swaps nicely. The train station was close by, and there were plenty of good restaurants and shops nearby. A bit of a downside: hooks for clothes and towels would have been handy, and the kids in the neighboring room made noise for a long time without anyone fixing it (not the property’s fault).

The location was really good! The room had a musty smell and felt closed in, the carpets were a little sticky, and the slippers were too small for my feet.
