The reception staff were exceptionally diligent and responsible. We were four seniors who spoke neither Japanese nor English, had many questions, and needed a lot of help. From the moment we arrived until we checked in, the staff were patient, meticulous, and eager to arrange transportation, ticket reservations, and everything else, which was truly heartwarming. We didn’t get to see the plum blossoms or the Milky Way because of time, but we felt the kindness and refinement of the Japanese. The hotel’s food was very good, especially the dinner, which was generous and served in a refined, comfortable setting that felt very ceremonial—overall a fantastic experience.

The manager can speak Thai, the hotel sits beside a stream with a stunning view, and the onsen is large and includes an outdoor option. There was no dinner, no breakfast for a 3‑year‑old child, and the shop had a bit too few items.

The bedding was excellent and I slept soundly; the staff were very courteous and attentive. The only downside was that the dining staff were all foreigners, so the explanations were a little hard to understand.

The environment is great, the room faces the river, the food is plentiful, and the staff are considerate and eager to help.
