The location is great for exploring downtown Shanghai, and there's a very convenient Family Mart underneath the building :) The beds are clean and super comfortable. The whole environment is extremely messy, the photos don't match the spaces, the common areas are extremely dirty, including the bathrooms.

The staff were the worst I've seen in a hostel—no one spoke English and they seemed to hate their jobs. When I tried to check in at 13:45, they told me to wait until 14:00, but a few minutes later the Chinese guests got in right away. Every time I asked for help they just passed me off to someone else who said they couldn't do anything. I ended up regretting staying here and would recommend looking elsewhere, especially if you’re a foreigner.

Lots of things are within walking distance or a short metro ride—just three minutes to the station, maybe a 15‑minute walk to another one. The staff are polite, and the shower curtain keeps the blue glass door from fogging. The beds are comfy, but there's no bedside shelf, and the Wi‑Fi works only for sites that aren't blocked. There's a water cooler at reception, but no bottled water.

Easy to find, clean bathrooms and showers, and the rooms get cleaned daily. The location is great, close to metro and shops. The downside? The staff only speak Chinese, so you need a translator app to get anything done.

This was probably the worst hostel I've ever stayed in. I never felt safe, and the place was filthy—clutter everywhere, shoes on the floor, and a stench of sweaty feet. The online photos were a lie; the building felt creepy and the room was a mess. My roommates left the door open all the time and kept changing the temperature, making it unbearably hot at times. There were too many mirrors, even in the shower, and the doors had no proper locks—anyone could push them open.
