The restaurant served up some of the best food we've ever had.
The staff at this hotel were incredibly friendly and attentive, going above and beyond to accommodate my every request.
The hotel's location is simply stunning, making it a perfect spot to unwind and take in the surroundings.
The views were breathtakingly beautiful.

“Wish we could have stayed longer, but transiting through the area on a road trip.”
The villa’s design was fantastic, it felt very private even though we were close to other guests, the garden bath was lovely, and the host kindly brought us extra firewood.
Nice people, great location, very calm, and everything was great.

The location is nice and the owner and staff were very friendly, with a good breakfast. The cottage we stayed in needed attention; everything looked quite worn and maintenance was required. The small private pool looked totally unappealing and was even dirty. The view from the cottage is disappointing because the trees block it, and the garden furniture is just a weathered bistro set. The bed is low and rather small, and not very comfortable because the mattress sits only on wooden planks. Unfortunately, this is not the fault of the staff, and on that basis my rating would have been higher.

There’s hardly a better stay for one or several nights in and around Oudtshoorn than at De Kombuys; the staff are friendly, the place is cosy and relaxing, the Wagyu meat is perfect, and the own vine produces a great Chardonnay 2002 and a Shiraz that pairs wonderfully with the Wagyu prime steak; it feels like home for anyone from South England, the Benelux, or northern France, because the Dutch Farm house architecture feels familiar, maybe even Flemish from the 1814 farm.
