I stayed between Tonsupa and Atacames right on the sea, a spot that’s perfect if you want to escape the city; the beach opened straight to the shore and it was super quiet, the place had a pool and spots to relax, plus a small dining area that served delicious breakfasts and lunches. I booked for one day but ended up staying an extra day, the place was gorgeous and I’d come back with my eyes closed.

The pool had clean water and the proximity to the sea brought soothing sounds and a peaceful vibe with hammocks, palm trees, and sand; the hotel staff were very warm. However, there was no food, so we had to rely on fast food, and there was no TV for entertainment, especially for the kids, and getting to the beach was a bit tricky.

The bolon they serve there is delicious, and the sea view is excellent. The rooms didn’t have cleaning supplies, meaning that during the stay there was no broom or mop to tidy up. Everything else was great; I hope they can improve that.

The facilities are great and the beach is close. The access road is unpaved dirt with many potholes, which is a drawback.
