The lodge feels like home and is stunning, with Patty the manager going above and beyond—she truly deserves a raise for her dedication. On the downside, one bartender was very rude and not personable; she wouldn’t wait on you unless you went up to the bar, a point I raised with Patty.

I’ve stayed here many times and have always been pleased with everything. During my most recent visit in room 205, a larger suite, it would have been nice to have a chair and small table in the room.

When we’re in the Springfield area we always choose this place—it’s a great little spot to relax and is just a short drive from the historical sites.

The staff are great, the building is cool, the room is nice and spacious, there’s no extra park cost added at check‑in, and breakfast is included.
