The hotel provides 24-hour front desk services, vending machines, and proximity to Pella Golf & Country Club, Central College, and Lake Red Rock, 12 minutes away, near the Scholte House Museum and Gardens.

The location was convenient, yet the staff didn’t honor the rate we booked ($76/night). An older man opened the room door with a key card without knocking on the day we checked out, then lied saying he had knocked and we let him in. He and a younger staff member, who also refused to honor the room rate, argued loudly in their native language (probably Hindi) with no real apology or offer to fix the situation.

The spot was convenient, but breakfast was almost nonexistent—just a handful of cereals and no milk, so I didn’t eat anything.

The location was fine and the price was great, plus the big screen with Direct TV was a plus. However, a strange odor lingered in the hallway and my room all night, the bathtub had mold on top and was peeling, and the blow dryer nearly fell into a sink that was draining very slowly.
