Proximity to the airport was great – a 10‑minute taxi ride, and the taxi was punctual. The room and bed were comfortable, the restaurant was excellent, and the tuna tataki was outstanding. Nothing really went wrong; the room furniture isn’t fancy but it’s functional.

The only real advantage of Hotel Areca is its proximity to the airport; next time we’ll stay in the city centre instead. The airport bus runs 24/7, making it easy to get to the airport at any time, and it’s much cheaper than taking a taxi from the hotel. The room was okay, but very poorly sound‑proofed, and the hotel feels dated overall. The sauna area is disappointing, especially if you’re used to better spa facilities.

The room was spacious and the facilities were solid, but the bar was closed when we arrived – although it was after 00:00 in October, so that was understandable.
