The welcome was warm and the people were genuinely kind. I enjoyed the dinner and sharing it with other guests. The place itself is beautiful once you arrive. However, the road to get there is not for everyone and definitely not for night travel. Also watch Google directions carefully: coming from La Verna, even though I followed the provided directions, the navigator made me drive extra kilometres on a rough road.

The peace and the joy of sharing meals with others were nice. The bathroom needs serious improvement: the shower curtain and lack of a shower tray, cramped space, candle lighting creates a scene but safety is questionable—no fire extinguisher near the rooms, electricity in the bathroom, and the room door didn't lock. The white road with a single lane is sometimes hard to navigate even at low speed.

Casina della Burraia is a hidden gem! I made an effort to get there, but once we arrived we were stunned by the place. The rooms are spacious and candle-lit, the views from the surrounding hills are great, and the meals are gorgeous, served at a large table where guests can mingle. The hiking area is very relaxing and superb.

The place is quiet and authentic, and the owners’ hospitality makes you feel right at home; the breakfast and dinner are excellent with homemade products in a friendly setting. The only downside is that the last stretch of road isn’t great.

Everything was almost perfect, except for the final 3 km of road to get there, which I managed to cover in the end.
