Casa Linda was the ultimate boutique cave experience, yes there was a slight smell of damp in the lower bedroom but it did not spoil our stay. If staying in matera we would stay again. The host was lovely. Nothing about casa linda but make sure you wear non slippy shoes to walk round matera

The cave hotel was flawless, with stunning interiors and Linda, the host, who was incredibly helpful—she showed me a parking spot and answered every question quickly. We parked in the municipal lot, a 20‑minute walk away, or used the shuttle that drops near Cass Linda; overnight parking cost £5 per day, which was very cheap and convenient. I highly recommend it and thank Linda so much.

I stayed in a genuine cave house with fantastic decor and a spot right in the middle of everything, but it got warm and could use more or better fans.
