The owner greeted us warmly, and the room was spacious with an old‑world charm that highlighted the building’s history and the town’s heritage. It was comfortable and quiet, even though it sits on the main road, and overall it offered good value.

The bed was very comfortable, and the room was clean and tidy. However, there weren’t enough power points near the bed—maybe a multi‑plug would help—and the mouse could have been omitted.

Jill the host was wonderful, going out of her way to show us all the attractions and conveniences of the Catlins. The room was lovely, very clean, and the attention to detail was fantastic. We didn’t find anything we didn’t like.
